Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. Her birth date was the 25th of December in 1954, at Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox went to the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 1970s. She studied the harpsichord as well as the flautist piano for three years. Lennox was able to survive on an allowance for students, and worked part-time to help supplement her income. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents weren't as good as those of the Royal Academy classmates. So she began thinking about other options she could pursue. Lennox began her career in the year 1976 in the group called Dragons Playground. But she quit when the band was featured to I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and the year 1980 she was vocalist for The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. After that, Lennox began working on her first solo album Diva and it was released in the year 1992. In both commercial terms and critically, it was an enormous achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has chosen her favorite blues, soul and jazz songs.
