Anita Barone
A stage actress that is versatile and is mostly restricted to sitcoms on TV, Anita Barone received her best shot in the medium when she played husband to Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which ran one season on ABC from 1995-96. Barone appeared on the stage in her first performance at 5 years old in Detroit when her family relocated from St Louis. By age 23, she had appeared in more than 50 productions that were mostly produced by universities as well as regional theatres. Her stage credits include Juliet in "Romeo as well as Juliet," Helen Keller in the production that was based on "Monday after the Miracle" and in the title role of Agnes who is a young, tormented nun, from "Agnes of God." in 1987 she played the role in a film known as "Ricochet". Barone also played a character in "The Rozary Murders". Then, in the year 1996, she was the leading lady in a romantic comedy that was independent known as "Just Friends". Barone was commissioned by NBC in the 1990-91 time frame as a stockholder of "Carol and Company" which was the failed effort by Carol Burnett at reviving the sketch comedy/variety program. Barone also starred in the"Wounded Heart," a 1995 USA Network movie, "Wounded Heart". She returned to weekly sitcoms with her co-star in "Daddio", NBC 2000, alongside Michael Chiklis.
